    How do you plan on making the headlights removable and appear seamless? Are you planning to use black screws? Looking to tackle headlights in the next month or two and want to get my plans made. So many options ...
    818C chassis #546. Ordered 8/14/18, picked up 10/6/18. First start 01/16/2021!
    Donor: 2006 WRX wagon, 108k miles.
    Options: Chassis powder coat, CF street splitter, rockers, diffuser, and spoiler, polished shift knob, adjustable rear lower lateral control arms, vinyl padded dash/door, complete carpet set, battery cut-off switch, wiper kit, aluminum shifter assembly, complete CV axles, harness bar mount, matte gunmetal wheels.

    I am going to have the fender area blacked out as well as the area of the lens blacked out where the screws go. However the screws will stay S/S color.

    I finished up the underside of the roof. Flocking came out really nice, IMO. I reinstalled roof and started on drivers door power window. The FFR manual is really lacking any good advice on this IMO. I did borrow some ideas from others on using S-10 guide rails. They are the exact right curvature. I cut them in half and trimmed away what I did not need. I still have to make the front rail. Not sure if I will use the S-10 rail or maybe something different. I am not using the FFR felt on the window opening. I will be using felt from Steele products. So far the operation and sealing to the roof opening looks promising. Here is some photos for now.

    Wow, that flocked interior looks great! I may need to borrow (shamelessly steal) that treatment if I ever de'roof my 818.

    Question, is that just a blown application of flocking material using an adhesive? I have done that to my dashboard, and I found the flocking material I used (ebay special) has faded over the past few years.

    Wallace, lookin good! I hate to admit it but I’ve spent about 6 weeks on each door! Lots going on inside there. I really couldn’t imagine building any car with a fully finished carbon fiber body like Dave was planning for the new F-9 project.
