    Connecticut inspection items for reference

I submitted a request to the CT DMV for a more thorough explanation of requirements, and to my surprise, they were quite helpful!

Here is the link will full text:

Hope this might help some fellow guilders.

Thanks. I live in Mass near the CT border and have a son who lives in CT. I was thinking of registering and insuring in whichever state is easier. Mass is tough on the annual inspections. I think CT only does the emission inspections once the car is registered and on the road. Will let you know what I decide.

Yeah, there's quite a bit to it, but at least now we know all the boxes that we have to check!
Hopefully it's completely accurate, even by omission. EG, brake lights, mirrors, etc not required to be DOT

Other things are a bit silly, like the shifter needing the correct 5 speed pattern on it.

OK it looks like you need wipers and a way to defog the windshield. How are you going to do that? Also for exhaust the build manual for the turbo engine only uses a small piece after the turbo then the down pipe with cat and a small exhaust tip. No muffler is included. Will that work for CT?
