TKX trans question
I posted this question on my build thread but no one has chimed in. The directions for my transmission say there is a rubber donut on the output shaft for shipping and it is not necessary to remove it. The foam looking thing sticking out past the tailshaft dust seal. Trying to remove it may damage the seal.

Can anyone that has this trans comment on what they did or how the driveshaft can slide onto the output shaft? I tried to push it in but it doesn't seem to want to move.

I used 2 sets of vice grips to take it out and did not damage the seal. It has to come out or DS won’t go in.

Like Henry said, it needs to come out.

That was my feeling too. I just wanted some other opinions. Thanks all!

I just used a good sized needle nose pliers to grab it, and out it came.
